I asked about this in the Dojo and was told that Jesse Kraii heard it on a Joe Rogan podcast about MMA.
One of those unattributable aphorisms that usually has some reference in the Old Testament...
My only point was to give a shout out for the Dojo since they are singing from the same hymnal as much of the better adult chess improver threads out there, like this one. I believe in the cross-pollination of ideas and exogenous relations with other tribes. It reduces the inheritance of bad thinking and platitudes, diversifies the brain trust, and enhances mutual support for all who are recovering from early chess trauma.
No, I doubt they invented it, but James Altucher is part of the program, gets mentioned a lot by Jesse Krai, collaborates with im on his creation of a Chess Dojo aggressive Repertoire, I thought the Chess Dojo deserves a shout out. You would be a good guest on their YouTube channel, and your improvement ambitions mesh well with the Dojo philosophy. Since, like your posting and the dojo's have the same honest and benevolent spirit it makes sense to me that this community of like minded adult improvers bands into a tribe. Like James, many members are looking at chess improvement as a path to personal growth in general and I think this is a great mindset and one you share.
Always good advice!
Merry Christmas!
D'oh! I was too late to make fun of Nate for the typo. Thanks bro! good luck with your life!

Nate, glad 2023 was a good year for you! And the time travel must have been interesting!
I almost made it through one word without a typo 🤦♂️
Heh. We all do it. Thank the Universe for EDIT features!
The Plus/Minus/Equals system is from the Chesss Dojo - you should mention it and perhaps join.
I don't suppose they invented it did they? But yeah Chess Dojo is great!
They definitely didn't invent Plus Minus Equal haha, I believe it was coined by James Altucher, who is a member of the Chess Dojo improvement plan.
